Yuri Sudo

Yuri SUDO joined NHK in 1998 and started his career as a TV director. Since then he has been involved in a lot of NHK projects of different genres including history, human interest documentaries, comedy shows and education programs as a director and/or producer. He has also worked to develop some new types of TV series and formats. His major directing/producing credits include; “The Professionals” – a long-run prime-time documentary series; “Family History” – a prime-time history show which wins nearly 10 million viewers every week; and “Happy Surprise” – a Saturday night entertainment show.
In 2015 he was assigned as Senior Producer to the International Co-production section. Now he is in charge of co-ordination with international partners for various international co-production projects, such as "Out of the Cradle", "Samurai in Vatican", "Tokyo Phoenix", and "Japan From Above".
