Ka Chun Yu

Ka Chun Yu joined the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in 2001 as part of a team tasked to create planetarium software to visualize the known universe. He has helped produce movies for the digital dome, has pioneered Earth systems educational programs at DMNS, and has continued to create new visualizations and other educational content for live planetarium presentations. His research has focused on observational star formation and studying the efficacy of digital planetariums for undergraduate astronomy education. He is one of the founders of the Worldviews Network, a group using immersive visuals to connect public audiences with global change issues. He currently serves on the International Planetarium Society's (IPS) Science and Data Visualization Task Force, and the IPS Education Committee.
