David Ledoux

David Ledoux is a composer and sound artist based in Montréal (Québec, Canada), who specializes himself in 3D-spatialized music with critical interest in sound immersion. Aesthetically speaking, his works present constant exchanges between soundscapes and musical elements, aiming to create sonic fictional worlds.

He was awarded with the 2018 édition of the Marcelle Prize, by the professors and teachers from the Université de Montréal’s faculty of music, for his work Cathédrales (2018), while his piece Ville Aux Cent Clochers (2018) has won the 2nd prize of the JTTP 2018 contest, attributed by the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC).

His work has been presented in many international events, including Sonic at ZKM (DE), EmuFest at Conservatorio Di Musica Santa Cecilia (IT), KLG/klingt gut! at HAW Hamburg (DE), Sounds In Space at Derby University (UK), ISSTA at Ulster University (Northern Ireland, UK) and Cube Fest at Virginia Tech (US).
