Ron Proctor

Ron Proctor is an animator, film producer, and Clark Planetarium's Production Manager. Ron began working in the planetarium industry with Weber State University's Ott Planetarium in 2003 and has been with Clark Planetarium since 2014. Ron specializes in Blender, a free, open source 3D animation software, and is among the world's foremost experts on using Blender for planetarium animation production.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Integrated Studies in Physics, Communication, and Multimedia (2009), and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (2014), both awarded by Weber State University. Ron also studied 3D modeling and animation at the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College.

Ron is currently directing Clark Planetarium's re-visualization of Black Holes and his team is developing interactive software for Clark Planetarium's upcoming exhibits renovation, both launching in October 2016. Ron Proctor lives with his wife, AmyJo, two children, and their flock of chickens in Farr West, Utah.
